During 2018, FSC coordination efforts involved more than 1,000 partners at the country level, more than half being national entities. In 2018, the cluster counts there were 30 active Food Security Cluster's country with over 100 accordant deployed staff globally. The cluster was responsible for supporting 113 million people in need and targeted 74 million people through Humanitarian Response Plans. 

The FSC also represented the largest percentage (34%) of funding required by any other cluster against the total requirements from the HRP, Regional Refugee and response Plan (3RPs) and other appeals.
